Cargo

Esbjerg Airport offers efficient and reliable logistics services for freight, heavy cargo, and distribution.

In the coming years, Esbjerg will be the focal point for the national expansion of offshore wind power and the planning and establishment of energy islands in the North Sea.

Esbjerg Airport can support the companies that will be transporting cargo to and from the North Sea.

Esbjerg Airport is strategically located close to the E20 Esbjerg motorway and the modern facilities at Esbjerg Port, making the airport an ideal logistics hub for the oil, gas, and wind industries. It offers efficient solutions for transporting goods between trucks, ships, and aircraft, ensuring a smooth supply chain.

The airport specializes in handling all types of cargo—from standard freight to heavy and special cargo—and has the capacity to receive some of the world’s largest cargo planes, including the Antonov AN-225 and Boeing 777. In addition, Esbjerg Airport offers parcel facilities and secure storage for transport and logistics companies.

We offer the following cargo handling options:

Speed loader: Can handle up to 3.5 tons and can be used by several types of aircraft.
Main deck loader: Can handle up to 20 tons of cargo.
Push back tractor: Can push up to 400 tons. This means that large cargo planes do not need to turn around at the airport.
Forklift trucks: Can lift 3 and 10 tons of cargo respectively.
