Starting October 5, 2026 LYGG and Esbjerg Airport are bringing back the direct connection between Esbjerg and Stavanger.

Operating twice weekly, the connection links two of the North Sea’s key energy hubs and provides companies with a direct alternative for recurring business and offshore travel between the regions.

– Esbjerg–Stavanger has been part of our plans from the beginning. Demand determines when and where we add connections, frequencies and capacity. We are very happy to now add this important connection to our growing North Sea network,” says Roope Kekäläinen, Founder of LYGG.

Esbjerg and Stavanger have long been closely connected through the energy and offshore industries, with companies and projects operating in both regions. The returning direct connection is designed around recurring travel needs, allowing travelers to complete the journey without lengthy indirect connections.

For us, it is therefore very positive that the direct flight connection is now returning. The Esbjerg–Stavanger connection starts with the 19-seat aircraft based at Esbjerg Airport. As demand grows, frequencies and aircraft capacity can be increased.

– Our model is demand-based. Once a flight has bookings, we fly. Companies can rely on the published schedule, Kekäläinen emphasizes.

When not operating scheduled connections, the aircraft can also support tailored corporate flights from Esbjerg.
