Baggage

We follow the EU and Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority’s regulations regarding baggage rules. However, some airlines may have stricter requirements for what may be brought on board. If you are in doubt, we recommend contacting your airline.

Security staff are authorised to refuse any items they consider too dangerous to bring on board, even if the item is listed as permitted.

Hand baggage

Liquids:

You may bring liquids in your hand baggage if:

  • The liquid is in a small container of up to 100 ml

  • The containers are placed in a 1-litre transparent, resealable bag

  • The actual size of the container does not exceed 100 ml

  • You carry a maximum of one 1-litre bag per passenger

If these rules cannot be followed, the liquid must be checked in with your hold baggage.

Certain liquid substances are exempt from these rules, such as baby food and medication needed for the journey. Security staff may, however, require proof of authenticity for these substances.

It is still possible to bring larger quantities of liquids in your checked baggage. In addition, liquids purchased after the security screening are permitted.

Other:

The following items may not be carried in hand baggage:

  • Pointed or sharp objects, e.g., scissors and knives

  • Explosive or flammable substances, e.g., fireworks or gas canisters

  • Firearms or similar items, e.g., starter pistols or spear guns

  • Blunt objects that could cause injury, e.g., golf clubs or baseball bats

Checked Baggage:

Most items can be carried in checked baggage, including:

  • Containers with liquids containing more than 100 ml

  • Tools

  • Knives

  • Sharp objects such as razor blades

  • Firearms and ammunition in lawful possession (must be declared at check-in)

  • Toy weapons

Must Never Be Carried in Any Baggage:

  • Explosive, corrosive, and flammable substances, e.g., camping gas and alcohol fuel

  • Oxidising, toxic, and radioactive substances

  • Magnetic materials

  • Fireworks

  • Anaesthetics

  • Bleaching agents

  • Paint and similar substances

Special Baggage

Weapons:

If you are travelling with a weapon, you must complete all required permits and bring them with you before check-in. You must also fill out a weapon control document, which can be found here.

The weapon control document must be completed before you arrive at check-in.

Please also bring your firearm passport.

If you are flying outside the EU, the permit can be completed here.

Please note: The airline Loganair does not allow weapons and ammunition to be transported on the same flight. However, firearms and ammunition may be approved for transport separately.

Please contact Loganair or your point of purchase if you have any questions regarding the transport of weapons or ammunition.

Sports Equipment:

When booking your trip, please inform us if you will be bringing sports equipment, golf bags, skis, or a bicycle.

Allow extra time for check-in if you are travelling with special equipment.
