When traveling through Esbjerg Airport there are several guidelines one must be aware of and comply to. These guidelines have been issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and apply for all European airports. Other airports may have different guidelines.

At Esbjerg Airport the following guidelines apply for passengers, customers and business partners:

Wear face mask: As of June 15th 2020 it is mandatory that a face mask is to be worn when at the airport – both at departure and arrival. It is the individuals responsibility to bring a face maks. Face masks can be purchased at the airport Traffic Office if one is not brought.

All that are in public areas MUST wear a face mask, and some airport staff will be meet behind a protective screen.

There is an injunction in place for Security and Helicopter areas, that ALL must wear a face mask.

Also be aware of the following guidelines;

  • Farewell and goodbyes outside the terminal: Due to COVID-19 welcome and goodbyes must be taken from home, at the car or outside the airport
  • Remember to bring face masks for the hole journey (Health authorities advise to change face masks every 3-4 hours
  • Wash hands often or use hand disinfection: Throughout the airport dispensers can be found
  • Cough and sneeze in the sleeve – not in the hands
  • Avoid handshakes, kisses and hugs – limit physical contact
  • Keep distance: Be considerate to other passengers, and keep 1 meter distance
  • Sign of illness: If one feels ill it is recommended to contact private doctor before going to the airport.
